What does daily life at Southborough care home look like?
At Southborough home, we recognise that a truly fulfilling and comfortable life involves not only physical well-being but also mental wellness.
With this in mind we ensure that not only are our facilities top notch but also our food, staff and daily life for a resident. Achieving this involves offering a diverse range of meals, strategic hiring practises and incorporating daily activities along with a weekly entertainer who comes into the home. We are also known to not be shy when it comes to celebrating a birthday or holiday which can be seen in our gallery!
Please get in touch with us if you are interested in visiting the home to truly experience what life is like here, if you're lucky you might even catch a bit of karaoke going on.

Food
At Southborough we provide a variety of food for our residents with meals and snacks throughout the day. From the first day in the home we ensure that they maintain a healthy varied diet which fits their weight goals whatever that may be.
Breakfast: For our breakfast we offer our residents a wide variety to choose from including porridge, a selection of cereal, fried breakfast and toast. This comes with whatever drink they choose whether that be tea, coffee of juice.
Mid Morning Snack: Toasted teacakes are offered to residents along with a drink
Lunch: Lunch is the main meal for our residents which may include pies, sausages, Casseroles, roast dinners which are served with a variety of vegetables. This is then paired with dessert which may include a crumble, chocolate sponge or fruit.
Mid afternoon: Once again our staff will offer drinks for the residents alongside a selection of biscuits.
Tea: For the last meal of the day there will be a soup, with a platter of sandwiches once again with a selection of dessert such as cheese and biscuits, fresh fruit, cakes and yogurts.
Evening: Finally at the end of the day the residents will be offered another drink partnered with a selection of biscuits.
This menu provides just a glimpse of the food we offer at our home and is just an example of what a day may look like in terms of what a resident may eat. On top of that whilst we do have designated times for serving drinks and snacks, residents are more than welcome to request beverages or food at any time from our staff or take what they want from our snack stations located in both lounges.
